Abstract

The ROK military has gradually opened doors to the adolescents of multicultural families, and many multicultural families have been admitted. However, it is not clear how much the ROK military is prepared to accept multicultural soldiers in a national atmosphere that is proud of being a single nation state. Therefore, this paper tries to present the course of actions for the well-adaptation of multicultural soldiers in the army, the harmony with them and the acquirement of proper understanding toward them. Through the case study on multicultural acceptance cases of foreign military, global corporations that work for diverse employees and various customers in global environment, and multicultural acceptance measures in international sports environment where various races are combined for the same goal, I have studied about the five methods of the military internal measures to accommodate the soldiers and the studies on the general recognition improvement and thought about three ways to get the right recognition of the army externally. In the military, Frist, commander's responsibility for multicultural acceptance and mandatory education. Second, the implementation of strict regulations and punishment. Third, the development and enhancement of early adaptation programs. Fourth, the committee or team that manages the diversity in the military itself. Fifth, It is human resource management that can take advantage of advantage. Out of the military, the development of human rights education programs related to multiculturalism, the improvement of multicultural awareness through public service advertising, and the positive image exposure of multicultural soldiers through media such as drama. Through these efforts, we hope that the military will actively embrace culture that respects diversity, as well as appropriate preparation to embrace multicultural soldiers in a more open manner.
