『樂學軌範』에서 12律名의 의미가 갖는 생명인식 - 12地支․12節氣․12卦와의 관련성을 중심으로 -

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explore the traditional Korean music thought through the 12 Yuleo(律呂: rhythm) meaning in Akhakguebeom(『樂學軌範』). Also, the meaning of 12 Yuleo in Akhakguebeom constitute the foundation of oriental thought in relation with the sexagenary cycle(地支)․the subdivisions of the sea-sons(節氣)․the 12 divination sign(卦), which do not limited within the music itself but have inclusive and expanded oriental thought as an axle of the thought. That is, the 12 Yuleo forms core thought to direct human way of life by constituting organic network of ‘Life’ with the sexagenary cycle(地支)․the subdivisions of the sea-sons(節氣), and 12 divination sign(卦). To define the meaning of 12 Yuleo, the author examined Akhakguebeom and the root of the contents in literature. Finally, the correlation among the basis of oriental thoughts in the sexagenary cycle, the subdivisions of the sea-sons, and 12divination sign with 12 Yuleo was surveyed. The result of the study conclude the meaning and symbol of 12 Yuleo, the sexagenary cycle, the subdivisions of the sea-sons, and 12divination sign have close relationship with the consciousness of organic life in oriental thought, which have the same meaning of 12 Yuleo in Akhakguebeom as an old descended recognition on life within the criteria of oriental thought.
