유아교사의 배경변인에 따른 음악교수효능감, 음악지도적극성과 유아의 음악적 태도의 관련성: 음악교수효능감과 음악지도적극성의 다중매개효과를 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 배경변인에 따른 음악교수효능감과 음악지도적극성이 어떠하며, 변인 간의 관련성이 어떠한가를 살펴본 후 이들 변인이 궁극적으로 유아의 음악적 태도에 영향을 미치는 경로가 어떠한가를 분석해보는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 G도의 유아교사 327명과 만 5세 유아 394명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 유아교사의 학력, 경력, 직전교육과 현직교육 수준에 따라 그들의 음악교수효능감과 음악지도적극성이 일정부분 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교사의 직전교육은 그들의 개인 음악교수효능감을 매개로 음악지도적극성에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아교사의 직전교육과 유아의 음악적 태도와의 관계에서 개인 음악교수효능감과 음악지도적극성이 연속적인 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과는 유아교사의 음악적 전문성의 편차를 유발할 수 있는 교사양성과정에서의 준비교육을 강화하여 유아교사의 개인 음악교수효능감을 높이고 음악지도적극성을 제고해야 하며, 유아교사가 자신의 음악교수역량을 토대로 유아의 음악적 태도가 긍정적으로 형성될 수 있도록 지원해야 함을 시사한다.

Abstract

This study aims at figuring out music teaching efficacy and music education initiatives of early childhood teachers according to their background variables and the relationships between the variables, and analyzing the ultimate path of influences of these variables on children’s attitudes toward music. For this, data were collected from 327 early childhood teachers and 394 children aged 5 years old attending kindergartens and childcare centers in G province. As a result of analysis, first, depending on teachers’ educational backgrounds, teaching experiences, and pre-service and in-service education levels, their music teaching efficacy and music education initiatives were found to be partially different. Second, teachers’ pre-service education levels had a significant positive influence on music education initiatives through the mediation of their individual music teaching efficacy. Third, in the relationship between teachers’ pre-service levels and children’s attitudes toward music, teachers’ individual music teaching efficacy and music education initiatives were found to have a continuous mediating effects. These results suggest that the preliminary education in the teacher training curriculum should be enhanced to raise teachers’ individual music teaching efficacy and music education initiatives in order to prevent variation of professionalism in musical education of the early childhood teachers. Moreover, based on their music teaching capabilities, teachers should support children to form a positive musical attitude.
