유아교사의 음악교수내용지식, 실기효능감이 음악교육실제에 미치는 영향: 음악교수효능감의 매개효과를 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 유아에게 질 높은 음악경험을 제공하기 위해 요구되는 유아교사의 음악교수역량을검토하고, 관련 변인이 유아교사의 음악교육실제에 어떠한 경로로 영향을 미치는가를 분석하는데목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 강원도 소재 유아교육기관에 재직 중인 유아교사 253명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하고, 일원변량분석을 통해 배경변인에 따른 차이를 분석하였다. 또한 상관분석을 통해음악교수내용지식, 실기효능감(가창, 연주), 음악교수효능감과 음악교육실제와의 관련성을 검토하고, PROCESS macro를 사용하여 음악교수효능감의 매개효과를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 유아교사의 음악교수내용지식, 실기효능감, 음악교수효능감, 음악교육실제는 모두 보통 수준을 넘는 것으로 나타났다. 학력에 따라 음악교수내용지식, 음악교수효능감, 음악교육실제에서는 일부 차이가있었으나, 실기효능감에서는 차이가 없었다. 또한, 음악교수효능감은 음악교수내용지식과 가창효능감이 음악교육실제에 미치는 영향을 부분적으로 매개하고, 연주효능감이 음악교육실제에 미치는 영향을 완전하게 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과는 유아교사의 음악교육 실행력을 강화를 위해 음악교수내용지식과 실기효능감을 향상시키는 지원이 필요함을 시사한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the music competencies of early childhood teachers required to provide high-quality music experiences for young children and to analyze the impact of these competencies on their music teaching practices. Data were collected from 253 early childhood teachers working in early childhood education institutions in Province G. The background variables were analyzed using one-way ANOVA. A correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationships between music pedagogical content knowledge (MPCK), music performance efficacy (MPE), music teaching efficacy (MTE), and music teaching practices (MTP), with the mediating effect of MTE analyzed using PROCESS macro. The results indicated that early childhood teachers’ MPCK, MPE (vocal and musical instrument), MTE, and MTP were all above the moderate level. While there were some differences in MPCK, MTE, and MTP based on educational background, no differences were found in MPE. Furthermore, MTE partially mediated the effects of MPCK and vocal performance efficacy on MTP, and fully mediated the effects of musical instrument performance efficacy on MTP. This study suggests that support for enhancing MPCK and MPE is needed to strengthen early childhood teachers’ music competencies.
