교사의 변인, 음악교수효능감과 영유아의 음악적 성향의 관계

본 연구는 만 1-6세 영유아를 담당하는 교사의 일반적 배경, 음악적 경험 참여, 예비·현직 교사교육경험, 음악교수 효능감과 영유아의 음악적 성향의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울시와 경기도에 위치한 9곳의 유아교육기관에 근무하는 교사 50명과 연구대상 교사가 담당하는 영유아 280명을 대상으로 선정하여 교사의 음악적 경험 참여, 예비·현직 교사교육경험, 음악교수 효능감과 영유아의 음악적 성향을 알아보았다. 교사의 음악교수 효능감은 방은영과 박찬옥(2005), 영유아의 음악적 성향은 방은영(2008)의 연구도구를 사용하였다. 연구결과 교사의 여러 가지 변인 중 영유아의 음악적 성향과 관련 있는 교사의 변인은 교사의 일반적 배경, 예비·현직 교사교육 경험, 음악교수 효능감으로 나타났다. 또한 영유아의 음악적 성향에 영향을 미치는 교사관련 변인은 대체적으로 예비·현직 교사교육경험과 교사의 음악교수 효능감 이었으며, 교사의 음악교수 효능감에 영향을 미치는 교사 변인으로는 교사의 연령, 평소 음악 즐기는 정도, 현재음악활동 참여경험, 예비교사 교육경험, 현직교사교육경험이었다. 즉 음악교육에 대한 예비·현직 교사교육의 질 강화가 요구되며, 교사의 음악교수효능감을 신장시키기 위한 프로그램의 개발이 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships among teachers’ participation of musical activities, pre and in-service for teacher, teachers’ music efficacy, and children’s musical character. The subjects for this study were 50 teachers and 280 children enrolled at the Child Care Center in Seoul and GyeongGi-Do. In order to examine the teachers’ music efficacy, Bang and Park’s (2005) “The questionnaires about music teaching efficacy belief” and in order to examine the children’s musical character Bang’s (2008) “The questionnaires about children’s music character” were used. The results were (1) There were positive relationships among teachers’ participation of musical activities, pre and in-service for teacher, teachers’ music efficacy, and children’s musical character. Especially there was strong relationship between teachers’ music efficacy and children's musical character. (2) Teacher’s pre and in-service and music efficacy affected children's musical character. And teachers’ age, participation of musical activities, pre and in-service for teacher affected teachers’ music efficacy. So teacher education researchers need to education programs to improve teachers’ music efficacy.
