유아기 자녀의 위험감수놀이에 대한 아버지의 지도

본 연구는 아버지가 유아기 자녀의 위험감수놀이를 어떻게 지도하는지 살펴보기 위해 어린이집에 자녀를 보내는 아버지를 대상으로 질적 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 참여자는 유아기 놀이의 중요성을 인식하고 가정에서도 신체적 놀이에 적극적으로 참여하는 아버지 10명으로, 이들과 반구조화된 개별 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 아버지의 유아기 자녀에 대한 위험감수놀이 지도는 다음과 같은 전략으로 나타났다. 위험도구 사용 허용, 위험평가 모델링, 안전한 경계 설정, 정서적지원, 독립적인 이동의 자유 제공, 몸으로 놀아주기의 여섯가지이다. 이러한 연구결과는 아버지의건강한 위험감수놀이 지도 전략을 이해하고, 균형 잡힌 위험감수 인식 제고 및 부모교육 프로그램개발을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 의의가 있다.

Abstract

This qualitative study was conducted to explore how fathers who send their children to daycare centers where risk-taking play is regularly conducted. Ten fathers who recognize the importance of early childhood play and actively engage in physical play with their toddlers at home, were selected as participants. The results showed that fathers’ guidance of their children’s risk-taking play in early childhood consisted of allowing the use of risk tools, modeling risk assessment, setting safe boundaries, providing emotional support, allowing freedom of independent movement, and engaging in physical play. This study is meaningful in that it analyzed fathers’ strategies for guiding healthy risk-taking play and to provided a basis for developing balanced risk-taking awareness and parent-teacher education programs.
