학습자의 수업 참여 측정도구 개발

초록

본 연구의 목적은 수업에서 학습자 참여의 개념을 규명하고 이를 측정할 수 있는 타당하고 신뢰할 수 있는 도구를 개발하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 실현하기 위해 문헌 고찰을 통해 학습자 참여를 정의하고 참여를 측정하는 도구의 예비 문항들을 만들었다. 예비 문항에 대해 탐색적 요인분석을 통해서 5가지 요인을 도출한 이후, 확인적 요인분석과정을 거쳤다. 분석 결과 5요인의 특성을 갖는 학습자 참여 측정도구가 제안되었으며, 이 도구는 전체적으로 안정적이고, 학업성취도와 수업만족도 등과의 상관관계를 확인한 결과 도구가 타당한 것으로 검증되었다. 최종적으로 수업에서 학습자의 참여에 관한 정의와 이를 측정하기 위한 5개 요인, 수업준비하기, 수업활동하기, 의사표현하기, 수업 확장하기, 수업 열정 등과 16개 문항으로 이루어진 측정도구가 제시되었다.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to define the concept of learner’s participation in instruction and develop a scale to measure the concept. In order to achieve the purpose, a literature review was conducted to define the concept, and resulted in 46 preliminary items of the scale to measure the participation. Based on the experts review, these items were reduced into 22 items. An exploratory factor analysis identified five factors with 16 items. Then, a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to confirm these factors and items. Finally, validity of the scale was verified based on the correlation between the scale and the learning achievement and satisfaction. The scale was found to be consisted of five factors, instructional preparation, performing instructional activities, expressing oneself, extending instruction, instructional enthusiasm, and 16 items. Although the scale was developed to be used in face-to-face instruction, it was suggested that it could be used in e-learning environment.
