Abstract
The purpose of this study is to categorize local market knowledge and the source of knowledge, and to propose the suitability of the knowledge type and the network. In addition, considering the three aspects of social capital(structural, cognitive, and relational), which are important factors in knowledge transfer research, we look at how social capital affects the acquisition and transfer of local market knowledge. Therefore, for this study, first, we searched the papers related to the types of knowledge published in 7 types of SSCI international journals, and derived 4 types of local market knowledge. Second, we searched papers related to network types published in 7 types of SSCI international journals and divided them into 4 types to derive characteristics. Third, we look at the types of local market knowledge that can be obtained according to the network type, develop a conceptual model between the network type and the local market network, and reveal its suitability. In addition, we presented a proposition on the relationship of the three dimensions of social capital in the acquisition and transfer of the relevant knowledge. In the current situation where much research has not been done on the types of local market knowledge and the source of knowledge, determining the types of knowledge that is suitable for the purpose of entering the local market and establishing a network relationship has new implications for companies. In addition, the use of appropriate social capital in acquiring and transferring knowledge of foreign markets is expected to give many managerial implications for a company's foreign market entry and performance.
