헤겔 <<논리의 학>>에서 위력(Macht)으로서 실체 개념 - 절대적 관계를 중심으로

이 글은 헤겔 <<논리의 학>> 본질논리의 마지막 장인 절대적 관계에서 실체 개념을 형이상학의 비판적 서술이란 관점에서 위력 개념을 통해 논의했다. 위력으로서 실체 개념은 근대 합리론 특히 라이프니츠의 힘 개념과 연관된다. 헤겔은 위력으로서 실체 개념을 절대적 관계 범주로 고찰하면서, 근대 합리론의 실체 개념에서 제기되었던 실체들의 상호관계의 문제를 근본적으로 사유한다. 이 글은 실체성 관계에서 인과성 관계로의 이행 과정을 세 가지 위력 관계, 즉 위력과 힘, 그리고 강제력의 관계를 통해 논의했다. 실체성 관계에서 실체는 절대적 위력으로서 자신과 우유를 비대칭적으로 구별하지만, 이러한 구별은 실재적으로 규정되지 않은 구별로 드러난다. 실체의 실재적인 구별은 인과성 관계에서 이루어진다. 우선 형식적 인과성 관계에서 근원적인 위력으로서 원인과 그 작용 결과 간의 구별은 원인이 작용하면서 함께 사라진다. 원인과 결과가 실재로 구별되는 규정된 인과성 관계에서 원인과 결과 간 힘의 관계는 그 외면성에 따라 무한퇴행으로 파악되면서, 내용적 동일성과 함께 규정되는 작용과 반작용의 인과성 관계로 이행한다. 작용과 반작용의 인과성 관계는 능동적 실체와 수동적 실체 간의 강제력의 관계다. 강제력의 관계는 절대적 위력이나 힘의 관계와는 달리 대칭적 관계이며, 능동적 실체의 수동적 실체에 대한 의존성을 명시적으로 드러낸다. 이러한 대칭성은 절대적 관계가 함축했던 관계항들의 구별과 자립성의 문제에 대한 하나의 결론이다.
Abstract
This article discusses substance in the absolute relation, the doctrine of essence’ last chapter, through the power concept concerning the critical description of metaphysics. The substance concept as power is connected to modern rationalism, especially Leibniz’ theory of force. Hegel examined such concept as absolute relation, and thought the problem of interrelationship between substances radically. This article discusses the transition of the relation of substantiality to the relation of causality as three kind of the relation of power, that is, power, force, and violence relation. In the relation of substantiality, substance distinguishes itself from accident asymmetrically, but this distinction isn’t determined really. This distinction leads to the relation of causality which really determines the former relation; As cause acts, the distinction between cause as the original power and its effect also vanishes in formal causality. In the determinate relation of causality in which cause is distinguished from effect really, the relation of force is grasped externally as endless regression, and passes over into conditioned causality. In this causality, action and reaction are determined with the identical content. In action and reaction, the relation of causality means the relation of violence between active substance and passive substance. The relation of violence is symmetrical and different from the former relations. And it reveals the dependency of active on passive substance explicitly. This symmetry leads to a conclusion to the problem concerning the independency of relata, which implied in the absolute relation.
