이 연구에서는 청소년 폭력비행의 변화유형에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보고자 하였다. 특히 지속적으로 발생하는 폭력비행을 중심으로 설명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국청소년패널조사 중학교 2학년 패널의 1~5차년도 자료를 사용하였다. 폭력비행의 변화유형을 살펴본 결과, 3개의 변화유형을 찾아볼 수 있었다. 청소년 폭력비행의 변화유형은 무비행 집단(62.15%), 비행급감 집단(29.80%), 그리고 비행지속 집단(7.05%)으로 나뉘었다. 각 집단에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴본 결과, 단기간의 폭력비행은 친구들 간에 발생하는 스트레스를 통해 저질러질 수 있다고 볼 수 있다. 이와 달리 비행지속 집단에서의 지속적인 폭력비행은 친구 스트레스보다는 중비행 친구와의 접촉을 통해 발생되고, 이에 따라 낙인도 다른 변화유형 집단에 비해 높은 수준인 것으로 나타나고 있다.
Abstract
This study attempts to describe factors which influence changing patterns of violent delinquency of youth. Especially, this study tries to focus on persistent violent delinquency of youth which occurs continuously. For this goal, this study uses five annual middle school second grade student panel data-sets of the Korea Youth Panel Survey(KYPS). According to the analysis of changing patterns of violent delinquency, three subgroups can be found. Those are non-delinquent group(63.15%), rapidly delinquency declining group(29.80%), and persistent delinquent group(7.05%). After scrutinizing factors which influence each groups, this study suggests that short-term violent delinquency can be caused by stress among friends. On the other hand, persistent violent delinquency is affected by association with serious delinquent friends. In this context, the level of labeling effect for this later group is higher than other groups.
