위험의 상징적 확산에 대응하기 위한 대안적 대학 교양교육의 필요성에 대한 소고(小考)

본 논문은 정보통신혁명에 기반을 둔 사이버 사회의 도래로 인해 발생하고 있는 다양한 위험상황의 상징적 확산에 대응하기 위한 대안적 대학교양교육의 필요성을 고찰하기 위해 기술되었다. 현재의 시대적 특성 중하나는 포스트모더니즘이 추구하는 융합문화적 성격의 이념적 의미가 결합하고 있다는 사실이다. 특히 사이버공간의 발현 과정에서 나타나는 위험에 대응하기 위한 사회연대의 가치는 결국 인간의 주체적 사고가 네트워크화되면서 더욱 확산되고 있다. 이같이 본격적인 사이버 사회에서 요구되는 인문, 사회과학에 기반을 둔 대학 교양교과의 정체성 정립을 위해각 대학에서는 다양한 융합형 교육내용이 개발되고 있다. 대안적 성격의 대학 교양교육은 그간의 소양, 인성교육에 더하여 새로운 위험의 상징적확산에 대응하기 위한 독립된 융합학문 분과로서 확장될 필요가 있다.
Abstract
This study examined the need for alternative university liberal arts education against the symbolic spread of various risk situations in a cyber society based on the information and communication revolution. One of the characteristics of the current era is the fact that the ideological meaning of the convergence culture pursued by postmodernism is being combined. In particular, the value of social solidarity against risks from the process of expressing cyberspace is spreading further as human subjective thoughts become networked. Each university is developing various convergent educational content to establish the identity of the liberal arts subjects based on the humanities and the social sciences required in the full-fledged cyber society. Alternative university liberal arts education needs to be expanded as an independent convergence discipline to respond to the symbolic spread of new risks along with the existing education of knowledge and characterbuilding.
