유, 초등 1-2학년을 위한 달크로즈 교육 원리 기반 일곱 가지 신체 움직임의 음악학습 활용

초록

본 논문의 목적은 신체 움직임을 유, 초등학교 1-2학년 학생들의 음악학습에 통합하는 방법을 모색하기 위하여 달크로즈 교육 원리를 기반으로 한 일곱 가지 신체 움직임의 특징과 내용을 검토하고 그 활용방안을 제안하는데 있다. 이를 위해 첫째, 유, 초등 1-2학년 대상 음악수업에 신체 움직임을 접목시키는 것에 대한 교육적 가치 및 요구를 검토하였다. 둘째, 달크로즈의 교육 원리를 토대로 일곱 가지 신체 움직임을 추출하여 설명하였다. 이를 바탕으로 셋째, 유, 초등 1-2학년 학생들의 음악학습에 활용할 수 있는 일곱 가지 수업안을 악곡의 예와 함께 제시하였다. 본 연구는 신체 움직임을 음악 수업에 통합하는 방안을 모색하는 유, 초등 예비 및 현직 교사들에게 신체 움직임이 음악을 경험하는데 데 가지는 의미와 역할 그리고 그것의 전인 교육적 가치에 대한 유용한 통찰력을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the characteristics and contents of seven body movements based on the Dalcroze principles and to provide examples of their use in music learning for kindergarten and first- and second- grade elementary school students in South Korea. To this end, first, the value of incorporating embodied learning into music classes was examined. Second, Dalcroze educator literature was reviewed to identify seven characteristic body movements for use in this study. Third, based on these results, seven music lessons for the target population were developed. This study is expected to provide useful insights into the role of body movements in music education and their holistic educational value for both pre-service and in-service teachers of kindergarten and elementary school students who are seeking ways to integrate body movements into music classes.
