이 연구는 112신고경험과 경찰에 대한 주민만족도와의 관계를 검증하였다. 제주도를 제외한 전국의 서울, 부산, 대구, 광주, 대전, 인천, 울산, 경기도, 강원도, 충청북도, 충청남도, 경상북도, 경상남도, 전라북도, 전라남도 등 15개 광역자치단체에서 자기보고식 설문조사를 이용하였다. 15개 광역자치단체에 3,620부를 배포하여 3,411부를 회수하였으며, 이 중 응답이 불성실하거나 일관성이 없다고 판단되는 설문지를 분석대상에서 제외하고 최종적으로 3,349부를 통계분석에 이용하였다. 분석한 결과는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 첫째, 112신고경험이 있는 주민들이 경찰에 대한 접근성, 신속성, 지역사회 경찰활동 등 경찰에 대한 주민만족도가 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 경찰대응 기대시간이 빠를수록 경찰에 대한 주민만족도는 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 112신고로 경찰도착시간이 늦었다고 인식하면 경찰에 대한 주민만족도에 부정적인 영향을 미치게 된다. 즉 주민들이 인식하는 경찰대응시간과 실제 경찰도착시간 인식이 경찰에 대한 주민만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study examined the relationship between experience of having called 112 and satisfaction towards police service. Self-report surveys were conducted in all provinces in South Korea with the exception of Jeju province. Of the 3,620 surveys distributed in 15 provinces, 3,411 surveys were collected. After omitting surveys that had inconsistent or inappropriate responses, 3,349 surveys were used for analysis. Results of analysis showed, first, people with experience of calling 112 had high level of satisfaction in accessibility, celerity, community policing of police services. Second, higher perceived police response speed was related with higher satisfaction. Third, lower actual police response speed had negative effect on satisfaction. In other words, perceived police response speed and actual police response speed influence satisfaction of police services.
