다문화 시민성 함양을 위한 학교급별 다문화교육 목표와 내용체계 구성

이 논문은 다문화교육 목표로서 ‘다문화 시민성 함양’을 제시하고 이에 기반한 초․중․고 학교급별 다문화교육 목표와 내용체계성을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 이루어졌다. 이를 위하여 학계와 일선 학교 교사 등 전문가 집단을 대상으로 3차에 걸친 델파이조사를 실시하고 그 결과에 기반하여, 학교급별 교육목표와 내용체계가 어떻게 구성되어야 하는지를 구체적이고 실천적으로 논의하였다. 전문가 델파이조사에 의한 구체적인 연구내용을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교급별 교육목표는 다문화 시민성이라는 다문화교육의 목표 지향과 관련하여 학생들의 발달 과정을 고려하여 인지적, 가치적, 기능적 교육목표를 세심하게 구분하여 제시하였다. 둘째, 앞서 제시된 학교급별 다문화교육 목표체계를 고려하여 수업에서 적용가능 하도록 다문화교육 내용체계를 구성하였다. 이 연구결과를 바탕으로 구체적인 다문화교육프로그램 개발 및 적용의 필요성에 대한 후속연구의 필요성을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to establish the goals and contents of multicultural education curriculum based on the cultivation of multicultural citizenship for elementary, middle and high school students. For that purpose, delphi surveys of experts on multicultural education were conducted in three times to find the educational goals and curriculum contents of multicultural citizenship for elementary, middle and high school students. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. The goal of multicultural education based on multicultural citizenship for for elementary, middle and high school students was analysed and consisited by the result of delphi surveys. In such a process, the cognitive, affective and skill objectives are considered. And, based on it, we suggested the contents of multicultural education in order to organize teaching activities. In terms of the educational goals and contents illustrated above, the future research is necessary to develop teaching materials of multicultural education and to investigate the effect of multicultural program.
