최저임금 인상이 물가에 미치는 영향:산업연관표를 활용한 분석

이 연구는 한국의 최저임금이 물가(생산물가격)에 미치는 영향을 산업연관모형을 이용하여 분석한 것이다. 이 연구에서 최저임금이 물가에 미치는 영향은 먼저 최저임금의 인상이 전체 근로자 평균임금 변화에 미치는 영향을 계산하고, 이에 따라 변화된 전체 임금이 다시 산업연관분석을 통해 물가에 영향을 미치는 2단계의 경로로 분석된다. 분석 결과, 최저임금이 10% 인상되었을 때 전체 임금은 약 1% 정도 상승하며, 이에 따라 물가는 약 0.2~0.4% 상승하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구 결과는 최저임금이 물가에 미치는 영향이 당기에 모두 발생하며 고용조정이나 이윤조정 없이 물가 인상으로 완전히 전가되는 상황하의 효과, 즉 최저임금의 물가 효과에 대한 일종의 최대치로 이해하는 것이 바람직하다.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of the minimum wage on price using I-O model. In this study, the effect of the minimum wage on price is measured in two steps. First, the effect of minimum wage on total wage and second, the effect of total wage on price. This study found that a 10% increase of the minimum wage in Korea raises total wage by 1% and price by 0.2～0.4%.
