최근 널리 논의되는 있는 ‘학습자 주도성’은 교육의 과정에서 형성되고 촉진되어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 학습자 주도성의 발현과 성장의 기회에 해당하는 학생의 참여를 학교 교육과정 설계･운영에 포함하는 방안을 탐색하기 위하여 초･중학교의 교육과정 설계･운영에서 학생의 참여 특성의 실태를 분석하고 그에 근거하여 더 나은 학생의 참여를 이끌 수 있는 지원 방안을 개발하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 면담, 전문가 의견 조사, 설문 등의 연구 방법을 활용하여 학생 참여의 특성과 그에 따른 지원 요구의 사례를 수집하고 분석하였다. 그 결과, 본 연구에서는 교육과정, 제도, 문화의 세 영역을 포괄하는 다섯 가지 하위 영역에 대하여 학생의 참여 단계를 정체기, 변화도입기, 도약기의 세 단계로 구분한 ‘학생 참여의 특성(실태) 및 지원 방안’을 도출하였다. 또한 본 연구에서 개발한 ‘학생 참여의 특성(실태) 및 지원 방안’의 활용 방안, 활용시 유의사항, 그리고 후속 연구에 대한 제안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Student agency that is widely discussed recently should be formed and promoted throughout education. The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of student participation and to explore support plans in order to promote student agency in the design and implementation of the school curriculum. The study conducted interviews, expert opinion surveys, and surveys to collect and organize cases of student participation and support needs. As a result, it developed ‘current status and support plan of student participation’ that was made up of three stages of student participation, the ‘Plateau stage,’ ‘Introduction stage of change,’ and ‘Leap stage’ in five domains including curriculum, system, and culture. It also suggested utilization, precautions, and follow-up research.
