본 연구는 디지털 콘텐츠 플랫폼의 다양화와 모바일 환경 변화로 인하여 콘텐츠 이용 방법과 전달 매체에 따른 콘텐츠 거래 시장의 확대, 콘텐츠 전달 방법의 변화, 그리고 거래방법의 다양화 등 모바일 콘텐츠에 대한 새로운 현상이 발생하는 변화 속에서 모바일 콘텐츠 무단 이용 의도 및 일탈 행위 태도에 미치는 영향요인들을 살펴보고자 하였다. 선행연구를 종합하여 영향요인으로 도덕적 자책감, 기대 효용, 법적 처벌, 일탈 태도가 직·간접적으로 영향을 미칠 것이라 판단하여 연구모형을 구성하였다. 본 연구결과 도덕적 자책감, 일탈 태도, 법적 처벌 요인 중 일탈 태도와 법적 처벌 요인만이 모바일 콘텐츠 무단 이용 의도에 영향을 미치는 영향요인으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 도덕적 자책감, 기대 효용, 법적 처벌 중 도덕적 자책감만이 일탈 태도에 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 향후의 연구에서는 도덕적 자책감을 명확히 밝힐 수 있는 신뢰 요인에 초점을 두어야 할 것으로 본다. 또한, 디지털 콘텐츠 플랫폼 매체의 다양화에 기인한 콘텐츠 무단 이용 의도 및 일탈 행위에 미치는 요인으로 기대 효용과 같은 비용 대비 객관적 조건을 모델에 추가하여 이러한 조건들이 충족되면 일탈 행위를 위한 실제 행동으로 나타날 수 있다는 사실을 모델로 제시하였지만 실증적으로 검증하지는 못하였다. 이에 대한 연구는 지속적으로 이루어져야 된다고 본다.
Abstract
The present study represents an developing a predictive model of piracy intention and behavior to explain the mobile contents piracy phenomenon. The conceptual model was developed from the results of prior research in online piracy and the reference disciplines of TRA(The theory of reasoned action) and TPB(The theory of planned behavior). This paper focused on empirically testing the effect of moral obligation, punishment and expected utility of pirating on piracy intention and behavior of mobile online contents in South Korea. The data resulted in response from 104 digital mobile users. Major findings of this research are summarized as follows：While moral obligation factor did not contribute greatly to the tested model, there is evidence that moral obligation can be a tool in the fight against mobile contents piracy intention. It may be possible to increase people’s perceptions of moral obligation factor, and that reduce the intention to commit piracy. Surely, increasing and clearing the punishment certainly may lead to a decrease in piracy behavior.
