임상검체에서 분리된 Vibrio 균종

Abstract

Vibrio species are natural inhabitants of aquatic environments, and the increasing consumption of especially uncooked seafoods may increase the occurrence of Vibrio infection. From April 1993 to January 1995 , we isolated V. cholerae non 01, V. vulnificus, V. algiηolyticus, V. parahaemolyticus and V. fluvialis from blood, bile, sputum and stool cultures of seven patients. V. cholerae non 01 and V. vulnificus were identified from the blood specimen of a patient with multiple myeloma and hepatitis, respectively. V. alginolyticus were identified from bile and sputum specimens of a patient with GB stone and bronchial asthma, respectively. V. parahaemolyticus and V. fluvialis were identified from stool specimens in three events of food poisoning outbreaks, October 1993 and September 1993, respectively. Total isolates showed susceptible to various antimicrobial agents except for penicillin, ampicillin.
