세월호 사고나 가습기 살균제 사고와 같은 참사를 겪으면서 기업의 안전에 대한 의식이국민의 생존을 결정하는 중요한 요인임을 깨닫게 된다. 관리감독을 하는 공공기관의 입장에서는 산업재해발생의 가능성이 높은 기업을 분별하여 집중적인 지도와 감독으로 산업재해발생의 가능성을 낮추어 사회적 비용을 줄여야 한다. 본 논문은 기업의 재무자료에서산재와 관련성이 높은 요인을 파악하고자 한다. 분석 결과, 재해율은 자산 및 1인당 인건비가 증가할수록, 업력이 길수록, 기계장치 비율이 높을수록, 부채비율이 높을수록, 복리후생비비율이 높을수록 재해율이 높아졌고, 매출액성장률 및 외국인지분율이 높을수록, 종업원수가 많아질수록 재해율이 낮아졌다. 본 논문은 국내에서 재해율과 기업공시 재무자료를 결합하여 분석한 최초의 연구이며, 재무자료 중 자산, 1인당 인건비, 기계장치비율, 부채비율, 복리후생비비율, 매출액성장률, 외국인지분율과 재해손실과의 관련성을분석한 연구라는 점에서 의의가 있다. 또한 재해를 관리·감독하는 기관에서 재해 발생가능성이 높은 기업을 판단하고 관리·감독 대상을 선정하는 등의 행정적인 조치를 하기위한 기초자료로서 활용할 수 있다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.
Abstract
This study investigates the effects of financial variables expected to be highly related to safety and health on disaster losses. Published financial data were used as samples from 2011 to 2015 rather than data collected through questionnaires. The logistic regression with dependent variables as a injury ratio indicates that the higher assets, the higher labor costs, the longer post establishment period, the higher machines ratio, the higher debts ratio and the higher fringe benefits expense ratio, the higher the injury ratio and the higher the sales growth ratio, the higher the foreign share ratio and the higher the number of employees, the lower the injury rate itional regression with dependent variables as the number of days of loss of business performed. The results were almost similar other than the fringe benefits ratio and the number of employees. This is the first study to examine the effects on injury ratio using a sample of corporate disclosure financial data, especially on the basis of financial statements relating to assets, net income, and net foreign share ratio. It is also important to determine the companies that are likely to suffer from injury losses and to make administrative actions, such as selecting targets for management or supervision, from those institutions that manage or supervise disasters. In this paper, an empirical analysis has been conducted of the effects of corporate financial data on the costs of industrial accidents.
