정보기술의 발전과 전 지구화의 확산은 네트워크 시대를 빠르게 촉진시키고 있다. 시공간적 경계가 무의미해지면 동시에 인간관계, 사회구조, 사회적 가치 등 모든 사회적 관계에서 새로운 내용들이 등장하고 있다. 이때 인터넷은 시공간을 연결해주고 사회적 관계를 형성시켜주는 주요한 매체로 등장한다. 미시적 측면에서는 네트워크화된 개인주의가 출현하고 있고 정치적 측면에서는 정체성의 정치, 네트워크의 정치가 출현하고 있다. 이러한 네트워크 시대에 사회운동은 글로벌에 대한 새로운 사고를 요구한다. 전 지구화와 함께 전 지구시민사회가 도래함에 따라 사회운동조직은 전 지구적, 초국적 사격차로 나갈 수 있기 때문이다. 또한 네트워크시대에는 국내적, 지역적 문제와 이슈들이 초국적인 연대와 협력을 필요로 하기 때문이다. 그러한 점에서 한국의 사회운동조직은 인터넷의 기반적, 수단적 요소들을 확충하면서 동시에 초국적인 연대와 협력을 적극적으로 모색해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The advance of the IT and the spread of globalization strengthen the development of the network age. In the era of globalization, new trends appear in all kinds of social relations which are human relations, social structure, social value, and so on. At this moment internet apears as a significant medium which connects time and space and makes up social relations. In the micro aspects networked individualism appears, and at the same time the politics of identity and network apears in the political aspect. In such a network age social movements need new thoughts on globalism. In the advent of global civil society, social movement organizations need to advance to TSMOs because digital divide is susceptible to democracy divide. The other reason is that in the network age domestic and local issues need transnational solidarity.For these reasons the social movement organizations in Korea need to both amplify base and instrumental factors of internet and actively explore transnational solidarity.
