국어 음운 교육의 한 방안 —자․모음의 분류 기준을 이용한 음운의 동화 교육을 중심으로—

Abstract

This study is to introduce some phonological features in Korean phonology teaching, however it does not emphasize the needs of either an establishment or education of them, and instead suggests some activities to investigate phonological assimilation by using the standard of vowel and consonant classification in that unit. This may require some arbitration processes of phonological features in order to explain either vowel assimilation by consonant or consonant assimilation by vowel. Because both phonological features and the standard of vowel and consonant classification are established when considering phonetic features, it is possible to investigate the phonological variation on a fundamental truth without any learning burden. Students can develop analytical and grammatical thinking power as well as improve their inquiring mind by means of exploring phonological phenomena using phonological features. The ideas of this study will be introduced only to 'grammatical' studies in "Reading and Grammar", an optional subject in high school. Doing this will distinguish "Korean", a common subject, and "Reading and Grammar", while also emphasizing the features of "Reading and Grammar" as an advanced learning process in Korean language education.
