중·고등학교 『역사』·『한국사』의 신라사 쟁점에 대한 서술 검토

본 논문은 2007·2009년 교육과정에 따른 중학교의 『역사』와 고등학교 『한국사』에 보이는 신라 정치사의 몇 가지 쟁점을 검토한 것이다. 신라는 사로국을 모체로 발전하였는데, 이러한 신라의 국가발전단계를 대부분의 교과서에는 소국→연맹왕국→중앙집권국가로 서술하였다. 그런데 일부 교과서에는 연맹왕국 단계를 부체제로 서술하기도 하였다. 하지만 부체제설은 아직까지는 학계의 여러 동의가 필요하다고 하였다. 다음으로 교과서 서술내용에는 신라의 삼국통일론과 남북국시대론이 혼재되어 있는데, 집필자의 기준에 따라 고구려유민과 백제유민 모두를 나·당전쟁 때 동원하였다고 함으로써 신라의 삼국통일론을, 고구려유민만을 동원하였다고 서술함으로써 남북국시대론을 따랐다. 관점의 혼재는 집필기준에서도 볼 수 있었다. 이러한 관점은 검정교과서의 다양성으로 말미암은 것이지만, 동일 교과서 안에서는 관점이 통일될 필요가 있다고 하였다. 다음으로 신라 중대 전제왕권론에 대해 2011년 교과서와는 달리 2014년 교과서에는 학계의 비판을 수용하여 전제왕권이라는 표현 대신 ‘강력한 왕권’으로 서술하였는데, ‘강력한 왕권’ 역시 모호하다고 하였다. 끝으로 신라 하대 왕위다툼은 흥덕왕 사후 벌어진 것으로, 학계에서 큰 이견은 없다. 하지만 2011년과 2014년 교과서에는 일부를 제외하고 대부분 혜공왕대부터 서술하였다. 따라서 신라 하대 왕위다툼은 흥덕왕을 염두에 두고 서술할 필요가 있다고 하였다.
Abstract
This thesis is reviewing issues of Silla history stated in 『History』 at Middle school and 『Korea history』 at High school according to 2007·2009 educational curriculum. Silla was developed based on Saroguk, and this developing stages to a nation was described as small country→federation kingdom→centralized nation. And according to the writing standards the developing stages should not be explained by specific terms, however, some textbooks described federation kingdom stage to Bucheje. Then there are three-kingdoms unification theory and South-North nations age theory mixidly stated in the context of textbooks, this is according to writers' standards describing three-kingdom unification theory as that the wandering people of both Gogurye and Baekje were mobilized and South-North nations period theory that Goguryeo wandering people were mobilized. The mixed statement was found in the writers' standards too such as that South-north nations period theory was followed but the cultural unification and conflation of people were emphasized about the meaning of three-kingdom unification. Next about absolute regal power at the age of Silla middle period, the criciticism of the scholars was accepted and strong regal power was replaced to in 2014 textbook changed from 2011 textbook. Also Hwaeum idea was described as relating to society conflation rather than relating to regal power at the age of Silla middle period. However confucianism those days was described in relation to political idea reinforcing regal power, but academy and reign idea should be explained separately. Lastly there is not a big objection about that the competition over the throne began after death of king Heungdeuk but most textbooks besides some described the competition began from king Hyegong in 2011 textbook and 2014 textbook. Therefore the competition over the throne should be described with putting king Heungdeuk in the theory.
