초록
다문화교육은 매우 복합적이고 다차원적인 개념이다. 따라서 다문화교육의 목표와 영역을 초등 도덕과교육에 기계적으로 적용하는 것은 무리가 있다. 이에 이 논문에서는 초등 도덕과에서 다문화교육의 실천 방안을 모색하였다. 초등 도덕과에서의 다문화교육은 문화 정체성 함양, 문화적 다양성의 이해와 존중, 편견 해소, 사회 정의를 위한 교수에 초점을 맞추어야 한다. 한편, 이러한 다문화교육의 네 가지 영역의 성공 여부는 교사의 다문화 인식과 다문화적 능숙함에 달려 있다.
Abstract
Multicultural education is a very complex and multidimensional concept. Thus, mechanical application of multiculral education to the elementary moral education is not easy. In this regard, this paper explored the practical methods for multicultural moral education in elementary moral education. Multicultural education in elementary moral education is desirable when it focuses on the following four domains: developing cultural identity, understanding and respect for cultural diversity, prejudice reduction, and teaching for social justice. Meanwhile, the success of multicultural education focusing on the four domains in elementary moral education depends on the teachers' multicultural awareness and proficiencies.
