본 연구는 도덕과 교수·학습 방법으로서 건설적 논쟁을 이해하고 도덕교육적 활용 방안을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 건설적 논쟁은 구조화된 의견 불일치의 상황에서 다양한 견해를 주장하고 근거를 제시하며, 합의를 통해 가장 합리적인 결론을 도출하는 과정을 그 절차로 한다. 건설적 논쟁은 비판적 판단, 의사결정 및 의사소통 능력, 다양한 입장에 대한 수용적 태도 등의 도덕적 역량을 신장하는 데 유의미하다. 이에 도덕과 교수·학습 방법으로서 건설적 논쟁을 활용하기 위하여, 활용에 적절한 초등학교 및 중학교 도덕과 내용 요소를 추출하고 논쟁 주제를 선정하였으며, 수업의 절차를 사례로 제시, 나아가 도덕교사의 역할을 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the learning of constructive controversy as a method of teaching and learning for moral education and to explore ways to use moral education. Constructive controversy involves the process of arguing and presenting various views in the context of structured disagreements and drawing the most reasonable conclusions through consensus. Constructive controversy is significant in improving moral competence, such as critical judgment, decision-making and communication skills, and accepting attitudes toward diverse positions. Accordingly, in order to use constructive controversy as a method of teaching and learning for moral education, the content elements of elementary schools and middle schools were extracted and the appropriate subject of controversy was selected, and the procedure of the class was presented as an example and the role of a teacher was proposed.
