비판적 사고와 자기주도적 학습 능력, 협동심을 배양할 수 있는 학습방법으로의 토론학습모형 개발은 매우 절실하다. 이 글은 이런 필요에 따라 도덕과 토론수업모형을 개발하고 실천한 결과에 대한 보고서이다. 여기에서는 이 수업모형을 만들게 된 교육환경적, 교육이론적 배경과 교과교육과정, 토론수업모형, 평가기준, 토론기법 향상법 개발과정 등이 소개되어 있다. 연구자가 개발한 모형은 학생들을 찬성과 반대 팀으로 나누고, 이들에게 학습 자료와 탐구주제를 제시하여 자기 주도적으로 학습하게 한 후 이를 바탕으로 구조화된 논쟁식 토론(debate)방식을 사용하여 토론하도록 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 연구자는 도덕과 교과교육과정을 재편성하였고 필요한 학습자료를 개발했으며 수업모형과 평가방법 및 기준 등을 개발하였다. 또 수업을 원활하게 진행하기 위해 토론의 구조, 주요 개념, 오류, 반박하기 등에 대한 교육을 실시하였다.
Abstract
It is very important and urgent to develop a debating model of moral teaching for enforcing the self-studying ability, cooperating team-work and critical thinking. This report is about developing such a model according to that necessity. Here, I am reporting a developed subject curriculum, the back grounds of educational school circumstances, criteria for evaluating and technics for improving student’s skill of presentation and listening. The model that I adopted is a academical debating model. I made topics for debating, materials for reading and gave the students for self studying. Then I made the students have a work shop for themselves and had a debating. I made my own curriculum of my subject. More over, I teach my students to improve their own skill of speaking and listening. I found this way of teaching was very helpful for my students and even for my self. We enjoyed last semester to debate various issues and topics.
