Abstract

This paper is a study on the relevance of moral subject's contents at elementary school. The contents of moral subject must be organized properly. Those should be reflected the social necessary values and basic human virtues. Furthermore, selected contents must be arranged properly with the development level of the students who are learning them. In this context, we evaluated the current moral subject in elementary school, we found so many problems. So, this paper tackled the relevance problems. In this paper we tried to research the relevant content of moral subject for elementary students. Although I must research more, temporally we got the results that in the level of elementary students must be organized in the moral subject contents of the self-respect, filial piety, cooperation, friendship, responsibility, community sense, self-control. After we must arrange these selected contents well, next step is a sequential issue. The sequential issue is the well organizing task of the contents harmonizing with the development level of students. In this paper we emphasized the division of two level for the elementary students. The low level students including 1-3rd grade have yet an ego-centric perspective. So we must make the moral subject for the 1-3rd grade harmonized with their perspective. Of course we must consider the developmental task that breakthroughs the current stage. In these considerations, we must organize the 1-3rd grade moral subject according to ego-centric perspective and important other directed perspective. The high level students including 4-6th grade tend to have a important other directed perspective. Because of developmental task, we must organize the 4-6th grade moral subject in the context of the important and generalized other directed perspective. This paper is a pilot research, so we remain to excellent scholars better and deeper researches.
