Abstract
Since the master plan for establishing the National Geographical Information System(NGIS) was announced in 1995, the central and local governments have tried to utilize th urban information and scientific knowledge with NGIS and LGIS, respectively to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their internal management and the quality of their public administrative services. Especially, locus of this study is LGIS, looking for innovation of the Spatial Information System in local governments. Therefore, this study is aimed to derive the influence factors of LGIS project implementation and to suggest strategy models of implementation of LGIS projects. To accomplish these goals, a literature review, a in-depth interview, and survey have be conducted. Finally, the enhancement of effectiveness and efficiency of LGIS project implementation is drawn from theoretical and practical meanings.
