Abstract
With regard to the need for moral education to be implemented that integrates intuition and reasoning, particularly on the possibility of integration of character education model and moral reasoning education model, Haidt and Narvaez appear to share the same viewpoints. However, their respective positions regarding the nature and function of both intuition and reasoning differ greatly. It is an academically important exploration task to look closely at the arguments of Haidt and Narvaez on the relationship between intuition and reasoning in moral education, and where the two match and differ. Thus, this article analyzed similarities and differences in the arguments of Haidt and Narvaez on the relationship between intuition and reasoning in moral education. Importantly, since there are not enough evidences yet to empirically support their theories, we should keep in mind not to fall into the temptation of hasty generalization.
