자존감 구성 요인의 도덕교육 적용 방법 연구

초록

자존감은 심리학 분야에서 가장 오랜 기간 연구된 주제 중 하나이다. 그리고 인간이 급속하게 도구화되는 상황에서 자신의 가치를 상실하게 되는 현대 사회에 반드시 필요한 내용이다. 이를 반영하여 2015 도덕과 교육과정에서는 자존감과 관련된 자아존중, 긍정적 태도를 내용 요소로 포함하고 있다. 도덕교육 내용으로서 자존감이 효과적으로 교육되기 위해서는 자존감의 특성, 구성 요인이 도덕교육에 적용될 수 있는 근거와 방법을 찾는 것이 필요하다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 윌리엄 제임스(William James)가 제시한 초기 자존감의 특성에서부터 최근에 제시된 개념을 분석하고 있다. 이를 통해 자존감의 구성 요인에 대한 이론적 근거를 확인하고 도덕교육에 적용할 수 있는 영역 요인과 항목 요인을 제시하였다. 그리고 정리된 구성 요인을 도덕과 교육과정에 적용하는 예를 제시함으로써 도덕교육 내용으로서 자존감이 그 본래의 특성이 잘 드러날 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

Abstract

Self-esteem is one of the longest studied subjects in psychology. & it is a must for modern society which loses its value in the situation where human being is rapidly instrumented. Reflecting this, in the moral education curriculum of 2015, self-esteem & positive attitude related to self-esteem are expressed as content elements. In order to effectively educate self-esteem as a content of moral education it is necessary to find a basis & a method that can be applied to moral education. For this purpose, this study analyzes the characteristics of early self-esteem presented by William James, & recently presented concepts. This study confirms the rationale for constitutional factors of self-esteem & suggests area factor & item factor applicable to moral education. & by presenting the example of applying the constitutive factors to moral education curriculum the way of expressing the original characteristics of self-esteem as contents of moral education is suggested.
