본 논문은 통일교육에서 평화·화해 서사의 위상과 그 사례를 고찰하고자 하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 첫째, 이론적 배경으로서 평화와 화해, 평화·화해 서사의 의미와 관계를 살펴보고, 둘째, 평화·화해 서사 관련 이론적 검토를 기반으로 통일교육에서 분단서사와 평화·화해 서사의 의미를 고찰하며, 셋째, 한반도 평화·화해 서사를 체험할 수 있는 체험학습 장소로서 국경선평화학교와 한국전쟁 시기 남한 내 발생한 분열과 갈등 속에서 화해를 일구어낸 평화·화해 서사의 체험학습장소로서 구림마을 사례를 제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to examine the status and examples of peace and reconciliation narratives in unification education. This study first examined the meaning and relationship of peace and reconciliation, and peace and reconciliation narratives as a theoretical background. Second, this paper investigated the meaning of the division narrative and the peace and reconciliation narrative in unification education based on a theoretical review related to the peace and reconciliation narrative. Third, this study suggested the Border Peace School as an experiential learning place to experience the narrative of peace and reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula. In addition, the case of Gurim Village was presented as an experience place for the narrative of peace and reconciliation that created reconciliation amid the division and conflict that occurred in South Korea during the Korean War.
