도덕과 통일교육은 분단 이래로 반공교육에서 통일안보교육, 그리고 통일안보교육은 통일교육, 평화통일교육으로 진행되었다. 그러한 변화를 통일교육에 반영하여 오늘에 이르고 있다. 우리 정부는 진정성을 가지고 수차례의 정상회담에 임하면서 통일노력을 전개하고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 북한은 2020년대 이후 더욱 더 거세게 분단론자들의 입장으로 치닫고 있다. 그들의 국가를 이루겠다고 2020년대 이후 선언하다가 이제는 노골적으로 대한민국과의 통일을 거부하는 사태가 벌어졌다. 이러한 국면에서 우리는 2022 개정 도덕과 교육과정에서 통일교육 전개를 고민하여야 할 것이다. 그러한 차원에서 통일교육은 안보통일교육적 입장을 취하면서 평화를 지키는 안보 역량을 내용에 포함하여야 한다. 안보통일교육은 자체 안보 역량을 강화하는 길을 모색하고 평화통일을 지향한다. 즉 안보통일교육은 한반도 통합을 준비하는 노력과 동시에 현실적으로 남북의 안보 상황을 파악하며 학생들에게 북한인 잘 인식 대처하게 하는 것이다. 또한 동시에 한반도의 안정적인 통일 및 지속 방안을 초등 도덕과 통일교육에서 논의하고자 한다.
Abstract
Korean unification education in the Moral curriculum has never deviated from anti-communist education → unification security education → unification education → peaceful unification education since division. Since the 2020s, North Korea has been moving more and more towards the divisionist position. In this situation, we must correct our attitude on what kind of unification education should be developed in elementary moral education. In that respect, through security unification education, it is necessary to seek ways to strengthen one's own security capabilities and to make unification education efforts, knowing that there is a security capacity to protect peace and a formidable power and alliance against the other party's force. Security and unification education strives to prepare for the unification of the Korean Peninsula while at the same time identifying and responding to the movements of realistic divisionists. At the same time, we would like to discuss stable unification and continuation of the Korean Peninsula in elementary moral and unification education.
