중첩세대 가계로 구성된 동태적 일반균형모형을 사용해 남북한 통일의 거시경제 효과를 분석한다. 통일 이후 노동시장과 자본시장이 통합되고 노동과 자본의 이동이 자유로운 상황을 가정한다. 통일 직전 남한과 북한 사이에 총요소생산성 차이가 상당하더라도 통일 이후 생산요소의 이동으로 남북지역의 총생산은 통일 이전 보다 높아진다.
Abstract
I construct a dynamic general equilibrium model with overlapping generations and analyze the economic effects of a Korean reunification. I investigate a unification regime in which both capital and labor are allowed to move between the Northern and Southern regions after unification. Factor reallocation increases the overall level of output even though the levels of aggregate productivity differ across regions.
