국내 사립 종합대학교 교원의 역량 규명 사례

본 연구는 대학 교원이 갖추어야 할 역량을 대학 교원의 역할에 따라 기본역량, 교육역량, 연구역량, 봉사역량으로 구분하여 규명하고자 하는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 문헌분석, 초점집단인터뷰(FGI)를 실시하여 설문도구를 개발하였다. 4년제 K 사립 대학교에서 근무하는 전임교원 291명의 설문 결과를 토대로 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였으며 AMOS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 기본역량(5개 역량, 24개의 역량 요소), 교육역량(10개 역량, 39개의 역량 요소), 연구역량(4개 역량, 16개의 역량 요소), 봉사역량(4개 역량, 25개의 역량 요소)에서 총 23개의 역량과 104개의 역량 요소가 제시되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학 교원의 역량을 기본역량, 교육역량, 연구역량, 봉사역량으로 구분하여 각각의 역량을 규명하고 역량의 하위 요소를 제시함으로써 대학 교원의 역량을 점검하고 개발할 수 있는 기초적인 자료를 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify university faculty competencies. University faculty competencies consisted of fundamental, teaching, research, and service areas. To achieve the purpose, it first developed a questionnaire by literature review and focus group interviews. Then, a total of 291 full-time faculties completed the questionnaire. In addition, it performed the exploratory factor analysis and the confirmatory factor analysis. Results suggest that there are 23 competencies and 104 subordinate competency elements in fundamental (5 competencies, 24 competency elements), teaching (10 competencies, 39 competency elements), research (4 competencies, 16 competency elements), and service areas (4 competencies, 25 competency elements). These results will have implications to provide a preliminary research tool to diagnose and to develop university faculty competencies in four areas.
