지리교사의 교수행동 및 교수신념에 따른 지리교수유형의 분석

초록

본 연구는 지리교실수업에서 어떤 일이 일어나고 있고, 어떻게 진행되는 지를 이해하는데 필요한 지리수업에서 나타나는 교수유형을 밝히기 위해 교실수업에서 교사의 신념과 사고와 행동이 전개되는 과정에 대한 논리적 분석을 토대로 유형분석의 준거들을 탐색하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 지리수업이 특정한 교수행동과 이러한 교수행동을 결과로서 낳게 한 교수-학습과 관련된 교사의 개인적 신념과 습관에 의해 이루어진다는 사실에 주목하였다. 이러한 교수행동과 교수신념에 대한 논리적 분석의 결과 지리교수유형을 찾아내기 위한 분석의 준거들을 찾아내었다. 이러한 준거로서 교수신념의 차원에서는 개인철학과 인성을 포함하는 교사개인의 측면, 교사관, 학생관, 수업관 등을 포함하는 간접적인 교실수업의 측면, 교과의 본질에 대한 신념(교과관), 교과의 교수에 대한 신념(교과교수관), 교과학습에 대한 신념(교과학습관)을 포함하는 직접적-교과적인 지리수업 측면의 요인들을 제시하였다, 교수행동의 차원에서 양적접근에서는 논리적 교수행동, 전략적 교수행동, 간접적 교수행동을, 질적 접근에서는 수업조직, 대화의 이동, 사회적 참여구조, 학습주제의 변환과 같은 것을 제시하였다.

Abstract

This paper tried to examinate reference framework for analysis of teaching styles, based on the investigation of the process of teacher?s thinking and action in classroom, to explore teaching styles in geography subject matter classroom which is needed to understand what happens and how teaching and learning process appears in geography classroom. This study focused on the fact that geography classroom is composed of sets of instructional behavior and teacher?s personal beliefs and practice which was resulted from and in the instructional behaviors. In this paper, components of the reference framework for analysis of teaching styles of geography classroom are suggested as follows: teacher?s personal philosophy and characteristics, general educational viewpoint on teacher, student and teaching-learning, viewpoint on geography subject matter, viewpoint on teaching geography subject matter, viewpoint on learning geography subject matter, etc.
