본 연구는 1997년부터 2024년까지 국내에서 이루어진 다중지능 관련 연구 동향을 분석하고, 선행연구의 내용을 고찰하여 맞춤형 재능계발을 위한 강점지능 기반 교육 연구의 방향성을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내 학술지에 게재된 총 441편의 논문을 선정하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, ‘연구 시기’로는 2002년부터 2006년, ‘연구 대상’으로는 일반 초등학생, ‘연구 방법’으로는 양적 연구가 가장 많았고, 변인의 특성 및 차이, 상관관계 분석을 다룬 연구의 비율이 높았다. 둘째, ‘강점 기반 교수설계를 위한 시사점’으로 다양한 학습자를 포괄하는 ‘교수설계의 확대’, 교과 중심을 넘어 진로 탐색 및 인성·사회성 역량 함양을 포괄하는 ‘프로그램 영역의 확장’, 강점 기반 교육의 맥락적 이해를 돕기 위한 ‘연구 방법의 다양화’, 강점 기반 교수설계의 실행 가능성을 높이는 ‘학습 모델 및 평가 도구 개발 연구 필요성’을 제언하였다.
Abstract
This study aims to analyze research trends on multiple intelligences conducted in Korea from 1997 to 2024 and examine prior research to propose future directions for strength-based intelligence education research toward personalized talent development. A total of 441 articles published in domestic academic journals were selected and analyzed. The findings revealed that: First, the peak period of research activity was from 2002 to 2006, with general elementary students being the most frequently studied population and quantitative research methods being predominantly employed. Studies focusing on variable characteristics, differences, and correlational analyses constituted the highest proportion. Second, implications for strength-based instructional design include: (1) expansion of instructional design to encompass diverse learners; (2) extension of program domains beyond subject-centered approaches to include career exploration and character/social competency development; (3) diversification of research methodologies to enhance contextual understanding of strength-based education; and (4) necessity for developing learning models and assessment tools to improve the feasibility of implementing strength-based instructional design. These findings provide foundational insights for advancing strength-based educational practices through multiple intelligence theory.
