영재교육 연구의 최근 동향 분석: 한국영재교육학회 학술지 ‘영재와 영재교육(2010-2014)’에 발표된 논문을 중심으로

본 연구에서는 한국영재교육학회 학술지 ‘영재와 영재교육’에 최근 5년 동안 발표된 논문 중 영재 혹은 영재교육에 관한 86편의 논문을 연구 대상, 영재성 영역, 연구주제, 연구 방법 등을 중심으로 분석하였다. 첫째, 이들 연구에서 가장 많이 활용한연구 대상은 초등학생(37%), 교원(22%), 중학생(18%), 고교생(7%), 전문가(7%), 그리고학부모(5%)의 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영재성 영역으로는 과학(54%), 수학(17%), 발명(10%), 언어(7%)의 순으로 한정되어 나타났다. 셋째, 이들 연구에 대한 연구 주제는10개의 영역으로 구분할 수 있었으며, 영재성 및 특성(36%), 교육과정 및 프로그램(12%), 창의성 및 문제해결력(10%), 교수-학습 전략(9%), 선발 및 판별(8%), 영재교육동향 및 정책(7%), 교원의 전문성(6%), 진로 및 상담(5%), 부모 및 가족(5%), 특수영재(2%) 등의 순으로 연구의 빈도를 나타내었다. 마지막으로, 연구 방법의 유형으로는 조사연구(44%), 문헌연구(20%), 혼합연구(15%), 질적연구(12%), 실험연구(9%)의 순으로수행되었다. 본 연구에서 나타난 최근 영재와 영재교육에 관한 연구 동향의 결과에근거한 논의점과 시사점을 제안하였다.
Abstract
This study surveyed 86 studies on gifted education published on the Journal of theKorean Society for the Gifted and Talented during 2010-2014 to investigate currenttrends of research in this area. This study were analyzed by research samples,domains, topics, and methods. The results of this study were as follows: Elementarystudents(37%) and teachers(22%) were most widely researched as samples, and science(54%), mathematics(17%), and invention(10%) were widely researched in the domainsof giftedness. In the part of research topics, the characteristics of the gifted(36%),curriculum and program(12%), creativity and problem solving(10%), and learning andinstruction strategies(9%)were researched often. Quantitative methods(53%) of investigationwere mainly used in the field, though qualitative method(12%) of the total studieswere used. The proportions of other research methods were literature study 20% andmixed study 15%.
