The goal of this study is first to analyze the connectivity between the ‘Communication Korean’ on the Korean core competence test and ‘Practical Korean’, which is a newly added subject as an elective for career path in the Korean language curriculum, then to derive strategies to strengthen the connectivity. To this end, previous studies related to the topic were analyzed, and the connectivity between the test and curriculum was examined in terms of the components of the structure and content. The analysis result showed that the structural components shared a competence-centered frame. With regard to the structural components that do not have matching counterparts, this study suggested remedial strategies. With regard to the content components, this study identified the areas that need connectivity in a minuscule scale and presented detailed strategies to strengthen the connectivity between the test and the curriculum.
