중등 생물 교육에서 ARCS 수업 실태 및 교사의 인식 조사를 통한 동기 유발 전략의 수업 적용 방안 탐색

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out an efficient solution on motivation strategies which were useful for real situation in lessons by investigating 28 teachers' motivation strategies participated in training programs for the first grade licensed teachers. Most teachers thought motivation strategies had positive effects on lessons. However, after analyzing 10 teachers' teaching procedures participated in a workshop for motivation on the basis of Keller's ARCS motivation strategies, we found out teaching methods and procedures were not changed even though class periods and steps changed. Also, there was possibility of difficulty in motivating students by applying inefficient motivation strategies. Therefore, through workshop, teachers should give students class goals focusing on pragmatism by applying ARCS, or provide the familiarity based on students' experience, or give tasks relevant to students' levels, or properly use satisfied motivation strategies through efficient rewards. It could make students interested in biology, improve students' self-study abilities, and maintain motivations.
