연구 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 대학생 핵심역량의 학년별 변화 과정을 추적하고, 성별 간 차이가 있는지를 분석하는 것이다. 연구 방법: 신뢰성과 타당성을 확보한 대학생 핵심역량진단 도구를 이용하여 시간의 흐름에 따른 핵심역량의 변화 과정을 살펴보고자 잠재성장모형 분석을 적용하였다. 연구 내용: 2018년부터 2021년까지 학업을 중단하지 않고 매년 핵심역량을 진단한 대학생 790명의 자료를 바탕으로 핵심역량 변화를 종단적으로 파악하였다. 이를 위해 비조건적 모형과 조건 모형의 두 단계를 거쳤고, 성별에 따른 조건 모형을 통해 잠재성장모형의 초기치와 변화율에 유의한 영향을 미치는지 확인하였다. 결론 및 제언: 분석 결과 초기치와 변화율은 통계적으로 유의하였고, 학년이 높아짐에 따라 핵심역량이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 남학생이 전반적으로 핵심역량이 높았으며, 성장 속도 역시 빠른 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 정책 방향과 시사점을 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to track the change process of college students’ core competencies by year and to analyze whether there are gender differences. It applied latent growth model analysis to examine the change process of core competencies over time by using a reliable and valid diagnostic tool of college students’ core competencies. The study longitudinally examined the changes in core competencies based on the data of 790 college students who did not stop their studies from 2018 to 2021 and diagnosed their core competencies annually. It went through the two stages of unconditional and conditional models, and with the conditional model according to gender, it confirmed whether gender significantly affected the initial value and change rate of the latent growth model. As a result of the analysis, the initial score and change rate were statistically significant, and core competencies increased as the students advanced in their academic years. Moreover, male students generally had higher core competencies than female students, and their growth rate was also faster. Based on these results, this study discussed the directions of policies and implications.
