연구 목적: 이 연구는 국내 성인의 동물 학대에 대한 인식요인을 살펴보고 이를 유형화하여 차이를 살펴봄으로써 동물 학대인식 개선을 위한 기초자료를 제공함에 목적을 둔다. 연구 방법: 연구방법은 국내 만 19세 이상 성인 250명을 대상으로 설문조사 후, 222명의 유효데이터를 바탕으로 SPSS 27.0을 사용하여 요인분석, 교차분석, 군집분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 내용: 이 연구에서는 동물 학대에 대한 탐색적 요인분석을 바탕으로 동물 학대에 대한 인식을 유형화하여 동물 학대를 인식하는 유형별 특징을 분석하여 제시하였다. 결론 및 제언: 연구를 통해 동물 학대를 인식하는 유형은 공감형, 관찰자형, 무관심형으로 나타났다.연구결과를 바탕으로 제도적 차원에서 동물 학대에 대한 실효성 있는 개입, 아동･청소년 대상 동물과 함께 생명에 대한 가치를 깨달을 수 있는 체험형 교육프로그램의 개발, 동물 학대 예방 및 생명존중문화 확산을 위한 구체적 실천 방안 모색을 위한 후속 연구가 필요하다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for improving awareness of animal cruelty by examining, classifying, and examining differences in the perception of animal cruelty among domestic adults. In this study, 222 valid data were analyzed through factor analysis, cross tabulation, and cluster analysis using SPSS 27.0, targeting 250 adults aged 19 or older in Korea. Based on the exploratory factor analysis, the perception of animal abuse was classified, and the characteristics of each type of animal abuse were analyzed and presented. As a result of the study, there were three types of perception of animal cruelty: empathy, observation, and indifference. Based on the results of this study, effective institutional intervention on animal abuse, development of experiential education programs for children and adolescents that can realize the value of living with animals, concrete plans for preventing animal abuse and spreading a culture of respect for animals, and practical plans for life A follow-up study is needed to find out.
