Application and Analysis of Social Welfare Major Courses Linked to Local Communities

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increase the learning effect of social welfare major subjects through connection with the local community. As the research method, the research method was used as the basic data of the study by searching the literature and data related to the subject and the learning method using the textbook, Step 1 Finding ways to connect with local communities, Step 2 Identifying the characteristics of textbooks and learners’ needs, Step 3 Welfare institution linkage activities, Step 4 It was carried out as a field practical application process. As a result of the study, first, it was found that the class applying the community linked learning method increased the bond between the instructor, the learner, and the local welfare institution. Second, students’ participation was high in the classes that were applied in connection with the local community in the major subjects. Third, the understanding of the local community increased through exchanges between welfare institutions and college students. Fourth, the class applying the community-linked teaching method can maintain the experiential memory of the learning content for a long time.
