연구 목적: 이 연구는 예비사회복지사들의 노인관련 UCC제작활동이 노인에 대한 부정적 인식 및 태도 개선에 효과적인지를 분석한 것이다. 특별히 질적연구를 활용해 변화의 구체적인 내용도 탐색해보고자 하였다. 연구 방법: 사회복지학과 학생 11명을 대상으로 동영상 UCC제작 수업을 실시하였다. 효과성 검증을 위한 사전-사후 검사한 결과를 윌콕슨 부호 순위 검정을 실시하였다. 또한 프로그램 전･후에 노인에 대한 생각을 자유롭게 기술하도록 한 기록물들에 대해서도 내용분석을 하였다. 연구 내용: UCC제작활동은 예비사회복지사들의 인식 및 태도를 긍정적으로 개선하는데 도움이 되었다. 구체적으로 예비사회복지사들은 노인의 삶을 이해하고, 그들도 꿈을 가질 수 있는 존재이며, 사랑을 주고받을 대상으로 여기는 변화를 보여주었다. 결론 및 제언: 이 연구는 노인과 직접 대면하고, 적극적으로 고민하도록 하는 프로그램, 특히 협동과정이 예비사회복지사들의 노인에 대한 인식 및 태도 개선에 필요함을 제언하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze whether elder-related UCC production activities are effective in improving prospective social worker’s negative perceptions and attitudes toward the elderly. In particular, we tried to explore the specific contents of the change, accompanied by a qualitative study. For the study, a video UCC production class was conducted for 11 students from the Department of social welfare. To verify effectiveness, a pre-post test was performed, and Wilcoxon signed rank test was performed for this. In addition, content analysis was conducted on records that allowed images of the elderly to be freely described before and after the program. UCC production activities actually helped to positively improve prospective social worker’s perception and attitude on the elderly. Specifically, the prospective social worker showed a change in understanding the lives of the elderly, seeing them as beings who can have dreams, and as objects of giving and receiving love. Lastly, the study emphasized that a program, especially a cooperative process, which encourages prospective social worker to face the elderly and actively consider them, is necessary to improve prospective social worker’s perceptions and attitudes toward the elderly.
