연구 목적: 이 연구의 목적은 페르시아 왕조의 쇠퇴에 외부의 침입과 내부 붕괴 중 직접적인 원인을 분석하려는데 있다. 연구 방법: 연구 방법은 문헌 사료에 대한 해석을 바탕으로 한 질적인 연구방법론을 선택한다. 연구 내용: 풍부한 자원이나 동서양의 길목이라는 지리적･지형적 이점은 페르시아가 강대국으로 성장하는 원인이기도 하므로 쇠퇴의 직접적인 원인이라고 볼 수 없다. 지배층의 사치와 낭비, 권력 투쟁으로 인한 국왕권 약화, 혁신적인 군사 기술로의 개혁 부재는 언제든지 국왕권을 침해할 소지가 있었다. 강력한 국왕권의 부재는 국가를 혼란에 빠트렸고, 이는 국가 쇠퇴로 이어졌다. 결론 및 제언: 결론은 페르시아 왕조가 외적의 침입이 아니라 시대 흐름에 개혁하지 못하고 내부적인 부패와 혼란이 지속되면서 몰락했다는 것이다. 제언은 아케메네스 페르시아와 사산 왕조 페르시아의 정치적 특색이 다르므로 왕조별 연구를 이어나가야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the direct causes of external invasion and internal collapse in the decline of the Persian dynasty. The geographical and geographical advantages of abundant resources or the road between the East and the West are also the cause of Persia’s growth into a great power, so it cannot be seen as a direct cause of its decline. The luxury and waste of the ruling class, the weakening of the royal power due to the power struggle, and the absence of reform through innovative military technology could always infringe on the royal power. Therefore, it can be said that the Persian dynasty collapsed as internal corruption and chaos continued without reforming in the flow of the times, not by invasion by external enemies.
