초록
The purpose of this study was to identify the differences in eye movements between elementary school teachers and students shown during the process of understanding textbook illustrations. The subjects for the research consisted of three students and three teachers. Eye-tracker was used in order to collect eye movement data. Results were as follows. There were common eye movements between teachers and students at the center of textbook illustrations at first, and they were mostly interested in picture area. But there were different eye movements between teachers and students in eye path when interacting with picture area and language area. Students processed cognitive information with low-level visual features and focused on picture area. However, teachers were interested in information process that various areas interacted actively. This implies that textbook illustrations should emphasize picture area that students easily read and analyze.
