연구 목적: 본 연구는 한국어판 『82년생 김지영』에 나타난 문화어휘를 번역된 아랍어본 문화어휘와 비교･분석하고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 문화어휘 번역방법 제안을 목표로 한다. 연구 방법: 선별된 한국어와 아랍어의 문화어휘를 엑셀 파일에 병렬코퍼스로 만들고 12개 범주로 분류하였다. 연구 내용: 이는 고유명사, 한국적 표현, 관용어, 특정 사건이나 인물과 관련된 어휘, 도량형 단위, 종교, 생활관련 문화어휘, 음식명, 호칭어, 줄임말･신조어, 의성어･의태어, 전문용어이다. 그 후 아랍어 문화어휘의 번역방법을 분석하여 분류하였다. 결론 및 제언: 분석결과에 따라 한국적 표현과 생활관련 문화어휘는 자국화 번역을 적용하고, 특정어휘에 한하여 이국화 번역을 적용할 것을 제안한다. 호칭은 문맥에 따라 번역하고, 고유명사는 음역으로 번역하거나 음역 후 설명을 추가하고, 의성어와 의태어는 부사와 설명을 추가하여 번역할 것을 제안한다.
Abstract
This study aims to compare and analyze the cultural words shown in the Korean version of Kim Ji-young Born in 1982 with the translated cultural words in Arabic version, and to propose a method for translating cultural words based on the results. The selected Korean and Arabic cultural words were made into a parallel corpus in the Excel file and classified into 12 categories. These are proper nouns, Korean expressions, idioms, words related to specific event or person, units of metrology, religious, life-related cultural words, food names, address terms, abbreviations, and newly-coined words, onomatopoeia, mimetic words and terminologies. After that, the translation method of Arabic cultural words was analyzed and classified. According to the analysis results, it is suggested that the domestication method should be applied to Korean expression and life-related cultural word, and the foreignization method should be applied only to specific word. It is suggested that the address terms are translated according to the context, proper noun are transcribed or added explanations after the transcription, and onomatopoeia and mimetic word are translated by adding adverb and explanations.
