연구 목적: 이 연구는 유아교사의 문화지능과 유아교사의 상호문화역량과의 관계 및 영향을 분석해 보고자 하였다. 연구 방법: 이를 위해 유아교육기관에 재직 중인 유아교사 308명을 대상으로 설문조사가 이루어졌고, 상관분석, 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 내용: 연구 결과 첫째, 유아교사의 문화지능과 상호문화역량 간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 유아교사의 문화지능은 상호문화역량의 전체와 하위요소에서 정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 문화지능의 메타인지, 인지, 동기가 높을수록 상호문화역량에 대한 설명이 증가하였다. 결론 및 제언: 이러한 결과는 유아교사의 상호문화역량에 영향을 미치는 변인을 확인함으로써 상호문화교육에서 교사 교육의 방향에 대한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship and influence between cultural intelligence and intercultural competence of early childhood teachers. For this study a survey was conducted on 308 in service teachers and then, a correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis were conducted. The results of the studt were as follows: First, there was a positive correlation between the cultural intelligence of early childhood teachers and the overall and sub-factors of intercultural competence. Second, meta-cognition, cognition and motivation which are sub-factors of cultural intelligence appeared as the most important variable predicting intercultural competence. The results of this study suggest implications for the direction of teacher education in intercultural education by identifying variables that affect the intercultural competence of early childhood teachers.
