연구 목적: 이 연구는 중국 대학의 한국어 교육에서 기계번역을 활용하기 위한 방안을 모색하는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구 방법: 이 연구에서는 먼저 기계번역 활용 능력의 범주를 제시하고, 한국어학과 학습자의 기계번역 사용 양상을 살핀 후 이를 바탕으로 활용 방안을 제시하였다. 연구 내용: 기계번역 활용 능력의 범주는 기계번역 문식성과 사후수정 능력에 대한 논의를 기반으로 기계번역 및 기계번역 사용에 대한 이해, 사전수정 능력, 사후수정 능력으로 분류하였다. 이에 따라 학습자의 기계번역 사용 양상을 살핀 결과 학습자들은 기계번역과 그 사용에 대한 이해가 충분하지 않고 번역할 원문과 번역 결과물을 효율적으로 수정하지 못하고 있었다. 이에 기계번역과 그 사용에 대한 이해를 증진시키고 사전수정과 사후수정 능력을 향상시키기 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 결론 및 제언: 이 연구는 중국 대학 한국어 학습자들의 기계번역 활용 능력을 향상시키는 데 도움이 될 것이다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study explores machine translation in machine translation in Korean language education at Chinese universities. In this study, first of all, the category of machine translation utilization ability was proposed, and after examining the pattern of machine translation use by Korean language learners, the utilization plan was suggested on that basis. This study has classified the categories of machine translation utilization ability into the following based on the discussion of machine translation literacy and post-correcting ability: understanding of machine translation and the use of machine translation, pre-correcting ability, and post-correcting ability. Accordingly, as a result of examining the learner’s use of machine translation, the learners did not have sufficient understanding of machine translation and its use, and they could not efficiently correct original texts to be translated and translation results. The solution to promote the understanding of machine translation and its use and to improve pre- and post-correcting abilities was proposed. This study is expected to help improve the ability of Korean language learners at Chinese universities with an effective utilization of machine translation.
