이 글은 핵무기와 핵 억제, 핵 위협과 핵 확산, 핵에너지의 평화적 이용 등으로 구성되어 있는 북한 핵 담론의 '원형'을, 핵무기 금지 담론이 등장하는 1947년부터 1964년 10월 핵 확산을 긍정하는 계기가 되는 중국의 첫 핵실험까지의 기간에서 추출하고자 한다. 이 기간 북한 핵 담론의 모든 구성 요소들이 등장했다. 즉 이 글은 1947년부터 1964년까지 형성되는 북한 핵 담론의 모순과 역설 그리고 핵 억제 및 핵 확산을 인정하는 심리적 전환의 계기가 배태되는 과정에 대한 서술이다. 핵 담론이 심리학에 대한 이론과 방법을 토대로, 미국의 핵 독점에서 소련의 핵실험을 거쳐 중국의 핵실험이 이루어지는 단계별로, 북한의 핵 담론을 관찰하고 북한 핵 담론의 '마음체계'를 도출하는 것이 이 글의 목적이다.
Abstract
This article explores a prototype of nuclear discourse in North Korea from the 1947-1964 period, during which North Korea had moved its stance from prohibition of nuclear weapons to positive recognition of China's nuclear proliferation. The nuclear discourse was composed of prohibition, deterrence, threat and proliferation with regards to nuclear weapons, and also the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. This article describes the contradiction and paradox in the North Korean nuclear discourse and the psychological shift to the positive recognition of nuclear deterrence and proliferation during the period. Finally, the article aims to find out the system of mind embedded in the North Korean nuclear discourse in phases.
