초록

This paper aimed at investigating the special marker characteristic of 'eul/reul'. It was confirmed that 'eul/reul', realized as special marker, were the cases that 'eul/reul' integrated with NP, not the object, which meaning was the grant of [+objective]. In Chapter 2, the researcher checked the problem that if 'eul/reul' could be realized as special marker. The previous researches focused on the case function of 'eul/reul', however, researches on the special use also have been constantly performed. However, only one side among the case function or special use has treated 'eul/reul'. That is, the research which focused on case function insisted that the special function was additional, also, regarding the researches which focused on special function, many of them were performed excluding case function. Also, most of the researches on the focus function of 'eul/reul' investigated focusing on the cases representatively realized in multiple construction or adverb, not dividing both 'eul/reul' which were used as special marker. Therefore, this research first divided case marker and special marker 'eul/reul' based on the above researches, then classified special marker 'eul/reul' according to category, and ultimately investigated the meaning and function of special marker 'eul/reul'. In Chapter 3, the researcher investigated that the realization method of marker in Korean was subcategorization, and confirmed that this method was used also in special marker, not only in case marker. And, through this, the researcher divided into 'eul/reul' realized as case marker and 'eul/reul' realized as special marker, and investigated that the syntactic position which 'eul/reul' had, which integrated with locomotive verb among them, was not object. The attribute of argument decided through subcategorization of predicate was the matter of the depth of meaning. On the other hand, the integration of special marker 'eul/reul' was the change of the surface. Chapter 4 confirmed that this change of surface can influence the attribute of depth. The point related with 'eul/reul' is objective. This objective is the attribute which the object of transitive verb basically has, also, case marker 'eul/reul' appear by being drawn by this attribute and its object can be confirmed regardless of with or without case marker, so that 'eul/reul' can be omitted voluntarily. On the other hand, special marker 'eul/reul' perform object by realizing in the object which doesn't have objective attribute. In this process, a morphological change, where the existing marker is replaced with 'eul/reul' or realized after other marker supplementarily, along with this, semantic change occurs, which changes [-objective] to [+objective], which causes markedness. In case when this special marker 'eul/reul' is realized in locomotive verb sentence, a directional change is observed. This implies that the aspect of directional nature in the sentence is changed by the realization of 'eul/reul'. In the sentence of locomotive verb, the directional nature, which 'eul/reul' can express, can be integrated only with the process part.
