초록

Native symbols of a country represents its identity, including ideology, conviction, history, nature, etc. Thus if we have knowledge of hispanic countries' native symbols, it could be the first step to approach hispanic world. Nevertheless there isn't enough research about that theme in Korea. So in this study we tried to research that kind of symbols, especially hispanic countries' national coats of arms, knowing that is so enormous to treat all of their native symbols. With this study, we could say that the countries above have strong influence of modern Europe and Rome. Also its evident that Latin America countries find their identity from european things. Otherwise, except the case of Mexico, indigenous thing is only an anecdote in their coats of arms and their national identity. One of the purpose of this study is looking over hispanic countries' national coats of arms and introducing them, hoping this revision can not be the attribution to approach hispanic countries but also be the study about hispanic area.
